1. What’s he like now 他現(xiàn)在是什么樣？(教材P25)
What’s sb. like 意為“……是什么樣的人？”多用于提問人的性格、品質(zhì)等，
也可用于提問人的相貌。
e.g. —What’s Alice like 艾麗斯是什么樣的人？
—She is quiet and a little shy. 她很文靜，有點(diǎn)害羞。
What does sb. look like 意為“……長(zhǎng)得什么樣？”用于提問人的長(zhǎng)相、外貌。
e.g. —What does Tom look like 湯姆長(zhǎng)什么樣？
—He has short hair. 他留著短發(fā)。
Language Points
① be like 意為“像……一樣”，指品德、相貌等像；更側(cè)重
人的個(gè)性特征，常與look like互換。
The twins are like their father. 這對(duì)雙胞胎像他們的爸爸。
（性格上像他們的爸爸）
② look like 意為“看起來像……”，強(qiáng)調(diào)外觀上像。
He looks like his father. 他看起來像他的父親。
be like 意為“像……一樣”,同義短語(yǔ)是 look like。
e.g. The girl is like her mother. 那女孩像她媽媽。
2. It’s been three years since we last saw our primary school
classmates. 自從我們上次見到我們的小學(xué)同學(xué)以來，已經(jīng)三 年了。（教材第26頁(yè)）
“It’s been + 一段時(shí)間 + since + 從句”意為“自從……以來已經(jīng)有
多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間了”，還可表示為“It is + 一段時(shí)間 + since + 從句”。
e.g. It has been five years since I began to learn English.
=It’s five years since I began to learn English. 自從我開始學(xué)英語(yǔ) 已經(jīng)有5年的時(shí)間了。
since 此處用作連詞，意為“自從，自……以來”。主句常用完成時(shí)，且動(dòng)詞需要用延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞。since 后接從句，該從句用一般過去時(shí)態(tài)。
e.g. She has taught us English since I came to this school. 自從我來到這所學(xué)校她就教我們英語(yǔ)。
【拓展】since 還可以用作介詞，意為“自從……以來”，后接表示時(shí)間點(diǎn)的詞。
e.g. He has worked there since 10 years ago. 他在那兒工作10年了。
3. I used to see him reading in the library every day. 我過去常常
看見他每天都在圖書室看書。（教材第26頁(yè)）
see sb. doing sth. 意為“看見某人正在做某事”，doing 作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足
語(yǔ)，表示動(dòng)作正在進(jìn)行。
see sb. do sth. 意為“看見某人做了某事”，指看見動(dòng)作發(fā)生的全
過程。
e.g. I saw him playing football on the playground. 我看見他正在操場(chǎng)上 踢足球。
I saw her run into the room. 我看見她跑進(jìn)房間去了。
