一、教材分析 Our Hobbies This unit focuses on the theme of "hobbies". By talking about different hobbies, such as music, sports, reading, etc., students can learn related vocabulary, grammar and expression methods, and cultivate students' ability to communicate their personal interests in English. Section B Is the second part of this topic, which mainly focuses on the hobby of music, involving the preferences of different types of music, past and present hobbies, and the evaluation of different music. Through the communication between Jane and Li Ming, the text presents the important sentence patterns and vocabulary such as used to do, like, and dislike, and also lets the students understand the characteristics of some common music types. 二、學情分析 1. After the previous English study, grade 8 students have acquired certain basic knowledge of English and language application ability, but there are still deficiencies in vocabulary, grammar mastery and oral expression. 2. Students are usually interested in the topic of music and tend to resonate easily, but they may be unfamiliar with some professional words and related expressions of music types. 3. Some students may be afraid of difficulties in learning, so they need to adopt diversified teaching methods and encouragement measures to stimulate their learning enthusiasm. 三、教學目標 Knowledge objectives: Students can master and correctly use vocabulary such as folk, jazz, classical, serious, noisy, etc.; can skillfully use sentence patterns "I used to..., but now I..." to express the past and present hobbies; can understand and use expressions such as "I like..., Idon't like..., I hate...". Skill objectives: To improve students' comprehensive English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through listening, reading and speaking exercises; to train students to acquire key information from dialogue and essays; and to communicate with others for different music types. Emotional goal: guide students to appreciate different types of music, cultivate students 'aesthetic taste; stimulate students' interest in English learning and enhance their confidence in learning. 四、教學重難點 1. Teaching focus Master key words and phrases: folk, z, z, classical, serious, noisy, etc. Understand and use the sentence patterns "I used to..., but now I..." to talk about changing hobbies. Be able to use the right expression of love and disgust to describe your feelings about different music. 2. Teaching difficulties Understand and distinguish the characteristics of different music genres, and be able to express them accurately in English. Cultivate students' ability to flexibly use the knowledge to communicate in practical situations. 五、教學過程 (I) Lead in (5 minutes) 1. Play a clip of different types of music, including classical music, pop music, rock music, country music and jazz music, etc., so that students can feel the different music styles while enjoying the music. 2. Ask the students: " What kind of music do you like "Guide the students to express their favorite types of music in English. (II) Teaching the new lesson (10 minutes) 1. Present the dialogue content of 1a, Let the students listen and understand the general meaning of the dialogue. 2. Explain the key words and phrases, such as folk, jazz, classical, serious, noisy, etc., to help students understand their meaning and usage through pictures, examples and sentences. 3. Analyze the key sentence patterns in the dialogue "I used to..., but now I...", and ask the students to imitate the example sentences and practice sentence making, such as: "I used to like playing football, but now I like playing basketball." 4. Organize students to carry out group activities. Let students imitate 1c expression according to the dialogue content of 1a, communicate with their peers, and share their preferences and dislike for different music types. (III) Consolidation exercises (15 minutes) 1. Complete the form in 1b, let the students listen to the recording in 1a again, and fill in the music types and reasons that Li Ming and Jane used and now like and dislike. 2. Let the students read the passage in 2, circle the key words, and then fill in the blanks according to the initial prompts. After that, let the students retell the passage according to the key words to exercise the students' reading comprehension and oral expression ability. 3. Conduct 3a pronunciation exercises, let the students compare the pronunciation of / e /, / 1 / and / ae /, and correct the pronunciation by following reading and imitation. 4. However, there are also some shortcomings in teaching, such as some students do not have a solid grasp of some music types of vocabulary, and there are some grammatical mistakes in oral expression. In the future teaching, we should strengthen the teaching of vocabulary and grammar, increase the amount and diversity of language input, and at the same time, we should pay more attention to the individual differences of students, and provide more opportunities for students to practice their language, so as to improve students' comprehensive English application ability.
