一、instructional objectives 1. Language knowledge goals Students can understand, read and use the vocabulary and sentence patterns related to traditional Chinese sports, such as: Tai Chi, park, school, indoors, outdoors, etc. Master the usage of simple present tense, and be able to use be good at and other phrases correctly. 2. Language skills goals Be able to understand conversations about talking about traditional Chinese sports, get key information and complete relevant exercises. Be able to use the language to communicate orally about your favorite sports, including answering questions about exercise preferences, participants, time, place, frequency and reason. 3. Emotional attitudes and goals Cultivate students' interest in and love for traditional Chinese sports, and enhance their cultural confidence. Students are encouraged to actively participate in sports activities and develop a healthy lifestyle. 二、Teaching key and difficult points 1. Teaching focus Master the vocabulary and sentence patterns related to traditional Chinese sports. Learn to use the simple present tense for communication, especially the correct use of the third-person singular number. 2. Teaching difficulties How to guide students to use the language learned to conduct oral communication about movement, including organizing language and clear expression of views. 三、teaching method 1. Task-based teaching method: By assigning various tasks, students can learn and use the language in the process of completing the tasks. 2. Scenario teaching method: create a real language scene, let the students feel and understand the language in the scene. 3. Cooperative learning method: organize students to cooperate in groups, complete learning tasks together, and cultivate cooperation ability and communication skills. 四、teaching process (I) Warming up(5 minutes) 1. Show some pictures of traditional Chinese sports, such as Taijiquan, martial arts, dragon and lion dance, and ask the students: " Do you know these sports What are they "Guide the students to name the sports program in the picture. 2. Play a video of Tai Chi, and then ask the students, " What do you think of Tai Chi "Stimulate students' interest in traditional Chinese sports to introduce the theme of this lesson. (II) Listening training (10 minutes) 1. Activity 1A Let the students browse the questions first to understand the content of the questions and options. Play the recording, and the students circle the correct answer while listening. Play the recording again, check the answers, and let the students say the reason for the choice. 2. Activity 1B Play the recording, and the students listen and fill in the blanks. Please read the complete sentences and check the accuracy of filling in the blanks. The teacher explains the key words and sentence patterns, such as "Many old people" (many old people), "a very good sport" (a very good sport), "in all seasons" (in all seasons), emphasizing the use of the third person singular in the current tense, such as "Li Xiang's grandfather does Tai Chi...". (III) Group activities (20 minutes) 1. Divide the students into small groups, and each group chooses a sports item in the picture. 2. Invite several groups of students to show their conversations, and the other groups to listen carefully and evaluate. (IV) Language summary (5 minutes) 1. Guide the students to review the key points learned in this lesson, including vocabulary, sentence patterns and grammar. 2. Emphasize the verb change rules of the third person singular in the general present time. For example, in the general present time, when the subject is the third person singular (he, she, it, singular nouns, uncountable nouns, etc.), "s" or "es" should be added to the verb. For example: He likes sports. She plays basketball every day. 3. Summarize the common expressions used when talking about exercise, such as: " What's s your favorite sport ” “I like...because...” (V) Homework assignment (5 minutes) 1. Let the students write a short article in English to introduce the traditional Chinese sports they like, including the characteristics of sports, the reasons they like, etc., no less than 50 words. 2. Ask students to listen to the recording and read the dialogue with activity 1, imitate the pronunciation and intonation, and improve their oral expression ability. 五、Teaching reflection Through the teaching of this class, the students have a deeper understanding of the traditional Chinese sports, and have received some training in listening and oral expression. In the teaching process, more attention should be paid to the individual differences of the students, and more opportunities should be given to the students with weak foundation to participate in the activities.
