單元語法
一．序數詞表示事物的先后順序，往往和定冠詞the連用。
1.一般情況下基數詞后加-th構成相應的序數詞如：four--fourth thirteen--thirteenth
2.整十數序數詞的構成是將基數詞詞尾的y變為ie，再加-th 如
twenty--twentieth forty--fortieth
大于20的兩位及兩位以上的基數詞變序數詞時，僅將個位數變成序數詞 twenty-one-twenty-first
特殊情況特殊記 one--first two-second three--third five-fifth
eight-eighth nine-ninth twelve-twelfth
二．.縮寫
序數詞的縮寫形式為阿拉伯數字+序數詞的最后兩個字母。
first--1st second-2nd third-3rd fifth-5th forty-fifth-45th
三.用法
(1)表示事物的順序，其前一般加定冠詞the，但當序數詞前面有物主代詞等修飾時，不再加定冠詞。
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.黃河是中國的第二長河。
Today is her ninth birthday.今天是她的九歲生日。
(2)表示編號，序數詞在前，名詞在后，序數詞前要加the。 the fifth lesson第五課
(3)序數詞前可以加上不定冠詞a/an，用來表示“又一;再一”。
I can have a third try.我可以再試一次。
(4)表示分數時，分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞。當分子大于一時，表示分母的序數詞要變為復數。

四、特殊疑問句
1. 結構及答語，特殊疑問句由“特殊疑問詞+一般疑問句 ”構成，不用yes或no作答，而應根據具體情況作答。
2.常見特殊疑問詞(組)的含義和用法
what “什么”，提問事物 who “誰”，提問人的身份
when “什么時候”，提問時間 where “在哪里”，提問地點
why "為什么"，提問原因 how many “多少”，詢問可數名詞的數量
how much "多少"，提問不可數名詞的量“多少錢”，提問價格
how “怎樣，如何”，提問身體狀況或動作的方式、程度
