一、動詞過去式的變化
1. be詞的過去式： am /is 的過去式為was; are的過去式為were
注：be動詞有人稱和數的變化，主語為單數用was, 主語為復數用were
二、動詞過去式的變化
2. 規則動詞的過去式
a. 一般情況下，在動詞原形后面加-ed。
look→looked play→played start→started
b. 以不發音e結尾的動詞，在詞尾直接加-d。
live→lived use→used
c. 以“輔音字母+ y”結尾的動詞，先將 y 改為i ,再加–ed。
study→studied try→tried fly→flied
d. 以重讀閉音節（即輔音＋元音＋輔音）或r音節結尾,末尾只有一個輔音字母的動詞，
要先雙寫輔音字母，再加–ed。
stop→stopped　　plan→planned prefer→preferred
不規則動詞的過去式是需要記憶的。
三、一般過去時的判斷標志詞
yesterday；the day before yesterday；last +時間；this morning；時間+ ago;
just now; in +過去的年份/月份 a moment ago ,
四、一般過去時的句型轉換
1. 謂語動詞為be動詞時
陳述句式：主語 + be(was , were) + 其它.
He was a teacher ten years ago.
否定句式：主語 + be(was , were) + not + 其它.
He wasn’t a teacher ten years ago.
一般疑問句：Be(Was , Were) + 主語 + 其它？
Was he a teacher ten years ago
特殊疑問句：特殊疑問詞+be過去式+主語+其他？
What was he ten years ago
2. 謂語動詞為實意動詞時
陳述句式：主語 + 動詞（過去式）+ 其它
He lived in Bengbu last year.
否定句式：主語 + didn’t + 動詞（原形）+ 其它 【did not = didn’t】
He didn’t live in Bengbu last year.
一般疑問句：Did + 主語+ 動詞（原形）+ 其它？
Did he live in Bengbu last year
特殊疑問句：特殊疑問詞+did+主語+動詞原形+其他？
Where did he live last year
3. 謂語動詞為情態動詞時
陳述句式：主語 + 情態動詞的過去式 + 其它.
He could swim when he was just a little boy.
否定句式：主語 + 情態動詞的過去式 + not +動詞原形
He couldn’t swim when he was just a little boy.
一般疑問句： 情態動詞的過去式 + 主語 +動詞原形 +其它？
Could he swim when he was just a little boy
特殊疑問句：特殊疑問詞+ 情態動詞的過去式 +主語+動詞原形+其他？
What could he do when he was just a little boy
過關練習：
根據括號內的要求，完成句型轉換，每空一詞。
