第一課時 Section A (1a—1e)

Step 1 Lead-in
Show students a picture ，tell something about the picture and let them guess what it is.
Step 2 Work on 1a
1a Match the clocks with the times.
(1)Show the clocks on Page 60,and then ask the time in English.
(2)Introduce the different ways to express the time.
(3)Ask the Ss to match the clocks with the times.

Step 3 Listening
1b Listen to the first conversation and tick Peter’s activities this morning.
(1)Ask students to listen to the first conversation and tick Peter’s activities this morning according to the tape.
(2)Let students discuss their answers in groups and then check the answers in class.

Step 1 Free talk
(1)Let students talk about what time they get up, have breakfast or go to school with their partners.
(2)Play a video, and let the students watch and imitate.
Step 2 Work on 1
1 Listen and repeat.
(1)Let the Ss read the words on Page 61.Then ask them to answer the question:Which pronunciation does each group of words contain
(2)Lead the Ss to be familiar with /s/,/z/,/ /,/ /,/t /,/d /,/θ/ and / /.
Step 3 Work on 2
2 Listen to the beginning part of the conversation in 2a and repeat.Notice the stressed words. Then mark other stressed words in the conversation in 2a.
Step 4 Listening
2a Listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks.
(1)Ask the Ss to listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks.
(2)Check the answers with the class.
(3)Explain the differences between what time and when.
(4)Give some examples about what time and when.

特殊疑問詞（一）
1.定義
特殊疑問句是對句中某一部分內容進行提問，以what,who,when,where,why等疑問詞引導的疑問句。特殊疑問句應根據具體內容作答，不能用yes或no進行回答。
2.結構
特殊疑問詞+一般疑問句(動詞+主語+其他)？
3.what,when和what time的辨析
(1)what通常對事物或事物的名稱提問。一般用來詢問某些相對具體的信息。如：
What colour is your schoolbag 你的書包是什么顏色的？
(2)對時間提問，常用when，意為“什么時候”，不一定指出具體的時間。如：
—When is your birthday 你的生日是什么時候？
—On 10th June. 6月10日。
(3)回答what time引導的問句，必須答出具體的時間。如：
—What time is it 幾點了？
—It’s 10:30. 10點30分。
4.對具體的時間提問時，when和what time可以互換。如：
When do you go to school =What time do you go to school 你什么時候去上學？

(2)Then have students talk about it with their partners.
3b Ask a person who works in that profession questions to find out his or her workday plete the table below.

(2)Then let them ask a person who works in that profession these questions or search the Internet after class to find out his or her workday routine.
(3)Let the students communicate with their partners about the information.
