二、課時分析
這節課是人教版小學英語教科書五年級上冊第一單元第二課時的內容，緊扣“What’s he like ”這個話題。課程內容包括兩個部分：Let’s learn和Ask and answer。
在“Let’s learn”部分，基于第一課時的情景對話，提煉出描述人物年齡和性格特點的核心詞匯，以及關鍵問答句型“Who’s your art teacher Mr. Jones. Is he young Yes, he is.” 通過圖文并茂的方式呈現，直觀易懂，便于學生吸收和掌握。這擴展了學生在交際中使用的表達方式，為日后的學習打下基礎。
“Ask and answer”部分旨在訓練“Let’s learn”中的重要單詞和句型。通過使用圖卡進行互動問答游戲，學生能夠根據圖片提示或實際情況靈活應用新學的核心單詞和句型。鑒于老師在學生日常生活中的重要性，課前讓學生制作任課老師的明信片，其中包括老師的名字、年齡和性格特點。通過運用句型，學生可以自由替換適當的描述詞匯，實現學以致用。
本課是第一單元的第二節課，是對第一節課對話情境的提煉和擴展。重點是掌握特殊疑問句“Who’s… ”、一般疑問句及其肯定、否定回答“Is he / she … Yes, he / she is. No, he / she isn’t.”，以及陳述句式“She’s…”。在問答活動中，Oliver首先詢問“Who is Mrs. Smith？”回答以陳述句“她是校長。她很高。她很嚴厲。”形式呈現。通過不同人物的問答對話訓練，激發學生的學習興趣，培養他們在學以致用中的自信和驕傲感。
鑒于本課重點關注不同類型的人物，準備了各種代表性人物圖像，制作成PPT課件、學生手卡、微課視頻等，通過多樣化的游戲活動呈現不同英語對話情景。在課堂中，學生扮演主角，老師則充當導師，保證每個學生都參與互動，保持學習的興奮和專注狀態。以此確保每個學生在課堂結束后都能感受到實際的收獲和進步。
三、課時目標
能夠聽、寫、讀、拼寫單詞：elderly，youthful，amusing，kind，strict，這五個用于描繪人物年齡和性格特點的形容詞。
能夠聽說讀寫以下核心句型：Who is your teacher Mr. Jones. Is he youthful Yes, he is.
能夠在實際語境中準確、熟練地應用上述五個單詞，完成關于人物性格和外貌特征的詢問與回答。
具備聽懂、口頭表達并演示問答對話內容的能力，在實際情境中靈活應用所學的重要詞匯和句子，進行真實的面對面交流。
四、課時重難點
課程重點：
(1) 掌握五個新單詞：elderly，youthful，amusing，kind，strict。
(2) 掌握一個特殊疑問句及相應回答：Who is your teacher Mr. Jones.
(3) 掌握一個一般疑問句及相應回答：Is he youthful Yes, he is.
(4) 掌握三個陳述句：She’s the head teacher. She’s tall. She’s strict.
學習難點：
(1) 能夠熟練、準確地運用重點單詞和句型進行對話和交流。
(2) 能夠正確描述不同特點的人物。
五、教學準備
教師課前精心制作PPT課件以及微課視頻，準備好錄音設備，自制手卡（詞卡與圖卡），學生自制人物頭飾。
六、教學過程
1.課前熱身

3. 新課呈現
（1）導出張鵬老師們的圖片和單詞。
T: Are you curious about Zhang Peng's teachers Ss: Yes! T: Great! Let's take a look at these pictures of Zhang Peng's teachers. （播放PPT課件） Listen to the conversation between Oliver and Zhang Peng. I'll explain the titles of the teachers. Mr. Young, Mr. Jones, Miss Green, Miss White, Mr. Li.
T: In English, we use "Mr." for men and "Miss" for women. Remember, these titles are used before the last name, not the first name. Also, the first letter of the last name should be capitalized. For example, "Mr. Young" and "Miss Green." Let's translate the conversation and display the correct translations on the screen.
Who's your art teacher 誰是你們的美術老師？ Mr. Jones. 瓊斯先生。 Is he young 他很年輕嗎？ Yes, he is. 是的，他是。
T: Now, let's talk about the difference between "Mr. Young" and "Is he young " Can anyone tell me the difference
S1: "Mr. Young" is a person's last name, and the first letter is capitalized. It means "姓楊" (surnamed Yang). "Is he young " uses "young" as an adjective to describe a person's age. It means "他很年輕" (Is he young ).
T: Exactly! You're absolutely right. Learning these details helps us understand and use English correctly.
（2）練習朗讀重點單詞和問答句型。
（播放錄音） T: Let's practice reading the key words and sentences. You can follow the recording, and I'll read along with you. After that, we'll have student representatives take the lead. Then, you can practice with your partner, with one of you saying the English sentence and the other translating it into Chinese, and vice versa.
（3）更換人物圖像，練習問答句型。
T: Now, I want you to use the questions and answers we've learned to have a conversation. Look at these pictures of teachers. Who can role-play Oliver and Zhang Peng
S1: I can! I'll be Oliver. S2: I can be Zhang Peng.

4.操練
（1）快閃圖片說單詞。
T: Are you all ready for a fun activity Let's play a game called "Flash and Speak." I'll use multimedia to quickly show you a series of images. As soon as you see each image, I want you to quickly shout out the corresponding English word. We can make it even more exciting by doing it in the form of a train, where each of you adds a word as the "train" moves along. Or, we can have a friendly competition between groups to see who can answer first!

Oliver: Who’s Mrs. Smith Sarah: She’s the head teacher. She’s tall. She’s strict.
T: Can anyone tell me what "head teacher" means in Chinese
S1: "Head teacher" means "校長" (principal) in Chinese.
T: That's right! And notice how Sarah's sentences are affirmative statements using the verb "to be" (is) followed by adjectives or a noun.
（3）自制任課教師的明信片并練習對話。
T: Now, it's time to get creative! I want each of you to draw a picture of your favorite subject teacher. Write down their name, the subject they teach, their appearance, and some of their personality traits. Once you're done, we'll form groups of four, and each of you will show your homemade teacher card to your group members and have a conversation about them.
S1: (Showing the card) Who’s Mrs. Dong S2: (Looking at the card) She’s our English teacher. She’s short and fat. She’s funny.

（4）傳話游戲。
T: Let's wrap up our class with a fun game called "Whisper Challenge." We'll divide the class into two teams, and the first student in each team will listen to a sentence I whisper to them. They'll then pass the sentence along to the next student, and so on. The last student in each team will say the sentence out loud. The team that finishes first with the correct sentence wins!
