設計意圖:直接導入與短文有關的內容,幫助學生主動發現自己在學習英語中遇到的問題,為下面文章的閱讀和理解奠定基礎。通過對活動1中這幾個短語的理解,讓學生自己去思考在學習過程中遇到了問題該怎樣去解決,文章中究竟是誰在學習中遇到了困難,遇到了哪些困難,語言博士戴安娜給出了什么建議,可以激發他們閱讀的積極性,從而愿意去閱讀。
Step 2 Pre-reading
T:OK,we have talked about the problems you have in learning English. Now we will learn some new words. And this will help you learn about the problems of others. Are you ready

Step 3 While-reading
1.Scan reading.(速讀)
教師將全班同學分為8個小組,小組中優幫差,小組間合作探究,從課文中快速找出活動3的答案。小組代表快速到黑板寫出答案,組與組之間進行比賽,寫對答案的贏得一顆星。
T:Boys and girls,it's our reading time. Please read quickly and find the answers for Activity 3. And then you can discussin your groups. I will give you three minutes. 4. Work in groups of 8 to deal with the language points.
教師把學生分為8人一組,學生通過合作探究找出大屏幕上出現的語言點,并學習。

The language points:
(1)Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.許多學生尋求關于怎樣提高英語的建議。
ask for“尋求;請求;要”,是“動詞+介詞”結構的短語。ask sb.for sth.意為“向某人要某物”。
(2)Each time you will learn something new.每次你都將學到新的東西。
something new"新的東西/事情”,new是形容詞,形容詞修飾復合不定代詞時要后置。
(3)I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.我也建議你跟你的朋友談論這些電影和歌曲。
advise動詞,意為“建議;勸告”;名詞為advice,不可數。
advise sb.to do sth.“建議某人做某事”,動詞不定式to talk about the films or songs 在句中作賓語補足語。
(4)I am shy and I am afraid to speak to her.我很害羞,并且我害怕和她交談。
be afraid to do sth.“不敢做某事”。
be afraid of sth./doing sth.“害怕某事/做某事”。
(5)It is natural to forget new words!忘記生詞是很自然的事!
Itis+adj.+to do sth.表示“做某事是······的。”
給學生一段時間記住這些知識點。
