In response to the call of nationwide labor education, a series of hands-on courses were launched last term in our school, ranging from planting vegetables to making traditional handicrafts.
Sewing is one of my favorite courses, where I obtained a fundamental knowledge of essential life skills such as sewing a button, knitting a scarf, and making a cushion by operating the sewing machine. It was surely a rewarding and fulfilling experience, which not only enriched our extracurricular life but also helped us acquire practical basic working capabilities for livelihood and form the good habit of labouring.
The hands-on courses have won wide popularity among students and exerted a positive effect on the personal growth of everyone involved. If possible, an exhibition could be held to demonstrate students’ well-designed works and display their creativity.

Aiming to raise the awareness of the importance of labor, our school held the activity of the School Labor Day last Friday, which could not only beautify our school, but also help us develop the habit of doing physical labor.
All the students as well as teachers were required to participate in the activity. In the first place, we cleaned up our classrooms, especially the areas that were ignored in daily clean. After that, we watered the plants and got rid of the weeds among them. In the end, we gathered our tools and put them all in order.
Exhausted as we were, the activity received high praise from both us students and parents. What's more, from this experience, we have a better understanding of labor and come to realize that the fruit of labor is the sweetest.

Happiness Follows Labor
Last Friday witnessed our school's labor practice activities in farming base , which greatly enriched students' life and promoted their practice awareness .
The base offers various activities， from which participants can experience outdoor work personally. It includes sowing seeds, doing the weeding and watering, etc. What impressed us most was that we cooked and tasted the vegetables grown with our own hands. It was through this activity that we understood the vital importance of cherishing food.

Civilized Campus Starts From Me
Aimed at arousing the students' awareness of beautifying the campus and fueling their passion for labor, a thorough cleaning themed on Civilized Campus Starts From Me was organized by our school last Friday afternoon.
With great enthusiasm, all the students in our school got involved in various work, ranging from cleaning the stadium, rearranging and tidying books in the library to cleaning up the garbage at campus. With our joint efforts, the campus soon took on a new look. Tired as we were, we were in high spirits.
Thanks to this meaningful activity, not only did we obtain a brand -new insight into the meaning of labor, but we would better cherish the beautiful environment of our campus.
