What is the hardest sport in the world Some people say it’s boxing (拳擊), because boxing is dangerous and boxers have to be strong and fast. Other people say the hardest sport is soccer.
However, most people say the hardest sport is the triathlon (三項全能運動). A triathlon is a race that includes three sports. First, racers swim. After that they ride bicycles and finally they run. In the most common triathlon, racers swim 1.5 kilometers, bike 40 kilometers, and run 10 kilometers. The winner is the person who finishes the race first.

Recycling is a way to take rubbish and turn it into new products. It’s helpful to our environment. There are a number of different recycling steps that allow materials to be used more than once.
All kinds of materials can be recycled. Some of the most common things in use today include recycling plastic, glass, metals and paper. Things made of these materials include soda cans, plastic milk boxes, newspapers, computers and cardboard boxes.
There are a number of advantages for recycling. These include: Landfills—Recycling materials means less rubbish and saves space in landfills. Resources—When we use materials again, this means we can take fewer resources from the earth. Pollution—in general, recycling materials can produce less pollution, helping to keep our environment clean.
Be sure to recycle everything you can in your house and school. There is almost a “recycle” rubbish can around. Be sure to drop your used aluminum cans and plastic bottles there. At home, be sure to put paper things like the newspapers, paper boxes, and homework pages into the recycle box.
Plastics are usually marked with an identification code that shows a recycling symbol and a number from 1 to 7. This shows that the type of chemicals, or materials, is used in making the plastic. Used paper can be recycled around seven times.
It is high time we set up a recycle station in every street, across the city and the country, so the cleaners can transport the rubbish conveniently. This is the only way out for handling rubbish without causing danger to the environment and our health. For ourselves, our children and our children’s children, let’s take action NOW!

You may have heard the saying “The Yangtze River is China’s mother river.” It is almost 6,400 kilometers long. As the world’s third-longest river, it covers one-fifth of China’s land area. The Yangtze River Economic Zone(長江經濟帶) covers eleven provinces and cities, making up about forty percent of China’s total population and GDP.
On December 26, China passed the Yangtze River Protection Law, which came into force on March 1, 2021. It is the first law to protect a waterway in China.
The mother river is in great need of protection because something is wrong with it. For example, because of overfishing and water pollution, the river’s Chinese paddlefish has died out there. There’s also desert land and soil pollution near the river.
According to the law, fishing will not be allowed in all of the Yangtze’s natural waterways, including its major tributaries(支流) and lakes. Those who are caught fishing will be fined(罰款) 50,000 to 500,000 yuan.
Digging sand will be strictly limited(限制) in the river. Many companies are digging sand along the river. However, this has led to lower water levels on the river, which has caused the river’s water to decline.
Companies and factories along the river will need to focus on green development. If their activities do harm to the waterways, they will be moved away, the law says.

Nellie Bly was a newspaper reporter. When she read a book by Jules Verne named Around the World in Eighty Days, she thought of a great newspaper story. She decided to make her own trip and do it in fewer than 80 days.
A trip around the world in 1889 was much more difficult than it’s today. Back then, the main modes( 模式 ) of travel were trains and ships. Also, women didn’t travel alone much during that time period.
