祈使句的特點:

(1) 祈使句一般沒有主語,因為說話的對象都是第二人稱“你”或“你們”,所以也可以理解為省略了主語you。祈使句句末用句號或驚嘆號,句子讀時用降調。
e.g. Come on! 加油!
(2) 以動詞原形開頭,無時態和數的變化。祈使句的否定形式是在動詞原形前加don’t。
e.g. Don’t cry. 別哭了。

(3) 在表達請求時,可以加上please; 表達比較強烈的語氣時,可以用感嘆號。
e.g. Please don’t be late again.
請不要再遲到了。
(4) Let’s 構成的祈使句往往用于提出建議。否定形式為:Let + 賓語 + not + 動詞原形 + 其它成分。
e.g. Let him not make any noise.
讓他別發出聲音。

(5) 在請求、命令和口號中,常用無動詞祈使句,它實際上是省略了動詞,從而使句子更簡潔有力。

if從句+祈使句, 相當于漢語的“如果……, 就……”。 常用來表達建議;其中祈使句是主句,if引導的是從句。
if引導的條件狀語從句可以放在主句之前,此時主從句之間常用逗號隔開;
if引導的條件狀語從句也可以放在主句之后,此時主從句之間無需用逗號隔開。
