ill 表示“生病的;有病的”時,一般用作表語,不能作定語;而sick 既可以作表語又可以作定語,如“病人”可以說a sick man 或the sick, 但不能說an ill man 或the ill。
sick 有“惡心的;厭倦的”之意。
ill 作定語修飾名詞時是“壞的;邪惡的”之意。
