if引導的條件狀語從句(2)
條件狀語從句表示主句動作發生的條件。由if (如果)引導的條件狀語從句表示假如有從句的動作發生就會有主句的動作發生。
e.g. If you ask me, I will help you.
如果你請我幫忙，我會幫你的。
If he does not work hard, he will fail his exams.
如果他不努力，考試就要不及格了。
if從句用一般現在時，主句用一般將來時。

if 引導的條件狀語從句可直接放在主句后面，也可以放在句首。放在句首時，要用逗號將從句和主句隔開。
e.g. He may come with us if he arrives in time.
如果他來得及時，就可以和我們一道去。
If Helen doesn’t get up early, she may miss the train.
如果Helen沒有早點起床，她可能會錯過火車。
if從句用一般現在時，主句用情態動詞+動詞原形。

= Study harder, and you must pass the exam.
再努力一點，你一定會通過考試的。
If you don’t hurry up, you’ll miss the early bus.
= Hurry up, or you’ll miss the early bus.
快點，否則你會錯過早班車的。
“祈使句 + and / or + 簡單句”是一個固定結構，其中的祈使句相當于一個由if引導的條件狀語從句。其中and表示句意順承，or則表示轉折，意為“否則”。
