and basic structure
The Present perfect continuous tense can be used to talk about events that happened in the past but they are somehow connected to the present and the action is still happening
Have/has been doing
I have been trying to make spaghetti.
It has been raining since morning.
The present perfect simple Tense / Present perfect continuous tense
1.They have eaten the pizza.
2.They have been eating the pizza.
The Present perfect Tense : have/has done
Present Perfect Continuous tense:have/has been doing
The second sentence suggests that there is still pizza left now.They haven’t eaten all of the pizza yet.
Difference1
1. She has been working for hours
2. She has worked for hours.
The present perfect continuous can be used to emphasise
the amount or length of time that has passed.
whereas the present perfect is generally neutral.
Difference 2
She has eaten three pieces of toast this morning.
The present perfect is commonly used to talk about how much or how many.
Difference 3
She continues to see the therapist.
She's been seeing a therapist
She's seen a therapist.
Her session(s) have finished.
The present perfect continuous often focuses on the action itself,
whereas the present perfect focuses on the completion of the action.
