課堂導入 Step 1 Warming up T play a song video about the passive voice, then asks Ss to chant together. Ss watch the video and chant together.
課程導學 Step 2. Presentation 1.Let Ss to read the sentences and ask them find out the differences. (1)We’re still influenced by Confucius’s ideas. (2)He was invited to competitions around the world. Read the sentences .
Step 2 Grammar T shows the sentences and then explains the difference between the simple present passive voice and the past tense in the passive voice, the structures and the usage of the past tense in the passive voice, meanwhile giving some examples and exercises to help Ss understand it. The Past Simple Passive Voice 1. 句式結構： （1）肯定句： 主語+was/were+及物動詞的過去分詞（+ by+動作執行者） The letter was written by Jim. 這封信是吉姆寫的。 （2）否定句： 主語+was/were not+及物動詞的過去分詞（+by+動作執行者） The letter wasn’t written by Jim. 這封信不是吉姆寫的。 （3）一般疑問句： Was/Were+主語+及物動詞的過去分詞（+by+動作執行者）？ Was the letter written by Jim 這封信是吉姆寫的嗎？ （4）特殊疑問句： 疑問詞+was/were+（主語+）及物動詞的過去分詞（+by+動作執行者）？ When was the letter written by Jim 這封信是吉姆何時寫的？ 2. 含有動詞不定式作賓語補足語的主動句變被動句的情況 主動句中含有動詞不定式作賓語補足語時，要把主動語態中的賓語變為被動語態的主語，賓語補足語的位置 2.Learn the structures and the usage of the past tense in the passive voice. 把下列句子變成被動語態。 1 She watered the flowers this morning. The flowers ___________________ by her this morning. 2 I saw them swim in the sea. They ___________________ swim in the sea. 3 The doctor told my father not to smoke any more. My father ___________________ smoke any more. Answers:1 were watered 2 were seen to 3 was told not to

Step 3 Practice Grammar exercise Ask Ss to do some grammar exercises in the textbook(Activity1,2,4,5) and then check the answers together. Step 4 Listening and speaking Work on Activity 6~7. Ask Ss to listen and check (√) the true sentences. 1) Betty is reading a book about Chen Zhong. 2)Chen Zhong found her training difficult when she first started doing taekwondo. 3)Chen Zhong did not win a gold medal at the Sydney Olympic Games. 2. Write questions in the table to find out about the sports that your classmates like to watch or do. Show the result of your survey. 8.Read the passage and answer the questions. 9.Summarize what you have learned today.
