How old are you...”In this way, the teacher can get famniliar with the students and review the target language.Encourage students to share their personal information.Lead to the conversation in 2a.1.Listen.Have students focus on the coloured optional words in the conversation. Let them to guess which onc they will hear. Check if they are right after listening. This helps to enhance their interest in the conversation.2.Read.Show students the two questions in 2b. Present the new expressions: class teacher, first name.Ask students to predict the proper answers.Lead them to look through the conversation to check if their predictions are right.Discuss their opinions in groups.Then check the answers. Circle the correct words to complete the sentences in 3b.Encourage students to discuss with others if they have puzzles.Have students guess the meaning of the new words: twins,both and band. Then show them the correct meaning.3.
