My favourite subject is English because it’s useful and my English teacher Ms Tang is really nice. To learn English well, we should memorize(記) more words, read more and answer the teacher’s questions actively(活躍地) in class.

連詞：用來連接單詞、短語或句子的一種虛詞。
連詞在句中不能單獨作句子成分，只起連接作用。按照性質可分為兩類：并列連詞和從屬連詞。本單元學習三個連詞and、but、because，其中and、but屬于并列連詞，because屬于從屬連詞。

其后接表示原因的句子
1. and
表示“和、并且”，連接兩個或幾個并列的成分(當連接兩個以上的詞語時，通常把and放在最后一個詞語前)，表示并列或順承，常用于肯定句。
She likes music, art and maths.
eg: 她喜歡音樂、美術和數學。
Come here and you can have a good time.
eg: 來這里，你會玩得開心。
在否定句中要把 and 變為 or
She doesn’t like music or art.
eg: 她不喜歡音樂和美術。
2. but
意為“但是；然而”，用來引出相反意見或不同情況。連接兩個并列的成分或句子時，語氣較強，在意義上構成明顯的對比。與前一分句可用(可不用)逗號，與后一分句不用逗號。
eg: 這個女人年齡大了，但她看起來非常年輕。
The woman is old, but she looks very young.
(與分句可用逗號分開)
eg: 我邀請了所有人，但只有兩個人來了。
I had asked everyone but only two people came.
(不用逗號分開)
3. because
意為“因為”，用來引導原因狀語從句，強調直接造成某種結果的理由和原因。多置于主句之后，有時為了強調，也可置于主句之前，并用逗號與句子的其他成分隔開。because還可以用來回答由why引導的特殊疑問句。
I can't go out with you because I am very busy.
= Because I am very busy, I can't go out with you.
=I am very busy, so I can't go out with you.
eg: 因為我太忙，所以我不能同你一起出去。
Tips: 在漢語中，表示因果關系一般用“因為……所以……”，但在英語中，because(因為)與so(所以)不能同時出現在一個句子中。
