Today we are going to continue our journey in Module 7 Great Books. First, I'd like to ask you a question. Do you have a favourite book What's it (教師微笑著看著學生) 學生活動:學生們紛紛舉手回答,如“I like Harry Potter. It's very exciting.”“I love The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. It's really interesting.” 教師回應:Great! You all have your own favourite books. These books have influenced you in some ways. Today, we are going to talk more about great books and their influence.(在黑板上寫下“influence”這個單詞,并簡單解釋) (二)知識講解 1. 詞匯學習 教師活動:展示一些新單詞和短語,如“influence, review, respect, make sense, be influenced by...”,講解它們的發音、詞義和用法,舉例說明,如:“This book has a great influence on me. I was influenced by its deep thoughts.”(同時用簡單的動作和表情幫助學生理解) 學生活動:學生跟讀單詞和短語,記錄例句,在練習本上練習用新單詞造句。 教師檢查:教師在教室里走動,檢查學生的造句情況,給予指導和糾正。 2. 句型學習 教師活動:引出重點句型“What's your favourite great book and why ”“I like... because...”,讓學生兩人一組練習對話,然后請幾組同學上臺展示。 學生活動:學生分組練習,積極準備上臺展示,如:“A: What's your favourite great book and why B: I like Pride and Prejudice because it shows different kinds of love and the social situation at that time.” 教師評價:對學生的表現進行評價,肯定優點,指出不足,如發音、語法錯誤等,并給予鼓勵。 (三)閱讀課文 1. 閱讀前 教師活動:Before reading the text, let's look at some questions. What books are mentioned in the text How do people think about these books (教師把問題寫在黑板上) 學生活動:學生快速瀏覽問題,帶著問題準備閱讀課文。 2. 閱讀中 教師活動:Students, please read the text carefully and try to find the answers to the questions.(教師巡視,觀察學生閱讀情況) 學生活動:學生認真閱讀課文,在文中劃出相關信息。 3. 閱讀后 教師活動:OK, now let's discuss the answers. Who wants to have a try (鼓勵學生舉手回答問題) 學生活動:學生舉手回答問題,如“Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn are mentioned. People think they are great books that show the real American life.” 教師追問:Good. Then can you find some sentences with attributive clauses in the text (引導學生關注定語從句) 學生回答:“The books that I read last year were very interesting.”(教師對回答正確的學生給予表揚,并進一步講解定語從句在描述書籍中的作用) (四)小組討論 1. 教師布置任務 教師活動:Now, we are going to have a group discussion. Each group should talk about a great book you know. You can use the words, phrases and sentence patterns we learned today. You can also talk about its influence and why you like it.(教師參與到部分小組的討論中,給予指導) 學生分組討論:學生們在小組內積極討論,如:“I think The Old Man and the Sea is a great book. The old man in the book is a symbol of perseverance. The story that he fought with the big fish influenced me a lot.” 2. 小組展示 教師活動:Time's up. Each group can choose a representative to share your discussion results with the whole class.(組織各小組代表依次上臺展示) 學生代表展示:代表們向全班介紹自己小組討論的書籍,其他小組同學認真傾聽。 教師總結評價:在每個小組展示后,教師進行總結評價,強調優點和需要改進的地方,如觀點的清晰性、語言表達的準確性等。 (五)課堂總結 教師活動:In this class, we learned a lot about great books. We learned new words, phrases and sentence patterns. We also read and discussed some great books. What's the most important thing you learned today (引導學生回顧本節課內容) 學生回答:學生們回答如“New words like influence.”“How to talk about great books.”等。 教師強調:Yes. And remember that great books can be our good friends. They can influence us and make us better.
